How Long it Took Me To Read: 2 days..I really tried to make it last long and savour this book.

General Thoughts: This book was sent to me by the kind folks from Penguin and I am so glad they did. This book was a delight start to finish.
Just want to put it out there that even though this book was sent to me for review, my thoughts are entirely my own.
Things I Liked:
1. I love the basic premise and idea behind this book. The idea of having role models and good night stories that don't involve damsels in distress, that need a man to come sweeping in to rescue them. I love that this book features women that save themselves , make a difference and kick some ass. There should be more books like this one. Another theme of the book is of women doing something they were told they couldn't do. So many of the stories here are about women who were pathbreakers.
2. This book works really well children as well as adults. I love children's books that do that.
3. The diversity of this book is truly commendable. It includes women from all over the globe, so it's very representative and inclusive.
4. Another thing I really loved and appreciated was that it included women from so many walks of life. Fashion, Science, Sport, Academics, Art..you name it and there was a woman from that profession. A hero/inspiration can be anything and do anything.
5. Another remarkable thing about this book is that it had women from various historic periods as well. The sheer reach of this book historically was pretty great. From 6 BC to 2016..all sorts of heroes were represented.
6. This book is such a well made book. Beautifully made and full of darling illustrations. A book lovers dream. This really is such a beautiful book, that you must add to your bookshelves.
7. The stories that accompany the said beautiful illustrations are concise and crisp that make it perfect for younger readers and at the same time are enough to give a clear understanding of the women they are about.

This book was an amazing read and something I still find myself flipping through.
